Wanted to share the almost finished progress of costume. With little to no free time this year I decided to purchase the pieces from several people and spend the time putting them together and tweaking them to get the final look as close to the show as I could.

The Jacket, Pants, and gloves came from ubestCosplay(ebay) with given measurements and I asked them to leave the jacket decorations off so I could add different ones without damaging the jacket. One thing not pictured is the use of suspenders and generic red t-shirt underneath the jacket to lessen the break when bending over or sitting

Next had the emblem and lightning bolts 3d printed (Model by Michael Ruddy). Sanded and painted with the closest color for the bolts

For the chest emblem, there was already a magnet in the jacket area so all i needed to do was find a decent sized magnet with a strong hold to keep the emblem from falling off. I also glued some clutch back pins to the lighting bolts to place them around the belt. The center piece has two strips of velcro for easy on off.

Boots were made by Keith Howard (super comfortable)

The Cowl was made by Deltafxstudio(Jared Olive). Test fitted and then slowly trimmed shoulder areas until sat nicely in the jacket(still minor trimming to go)

Better color matched the belt buckles now (bottom left is original)

I still have some work to do on the Cowl to get it to sit a bit nicer inside the jacket but here is the whole suit together minus the cowl

Re: The CW Flash

Getting close to the convention (9 days left) and per the mobility video I am still figuring out what to do about the neck to 1.) keep the mask from popping out of the collar in the back and on the right side of the neck/shoulder 2.) Make it look semi natural

I had an idea to take vinyl material that was the same color as the collar of the jacket and make a "bib" that would lengthen the back down farther and round the sides of the neck to make it sit against my neck instead of free. The issue is cutting the material in a way to make it fit properly without it looking terrible and to also figure out how to make it stay. I though about using Velcro for quick on and off which would work for the back piece but might look a bit off on the sides. I though about cutting the sides a bit but I am at the point where if i take any more off it will show my neck and will not sit inside the jacket collar.

So right now I am in a thought block and could use some suggestions. Best reference is the video as that is the current state of the mask. Thank you all!

Re: The CW Flash

Dang can't believe I let this get so far behind on the updates. Well its been finished for a long time and I was able to figure out my issue with the cowl thanks to the suggestion by Deltafxstudio(Jared Olive)

Once I finally got that out of the way all that was left was wait for the con. I really wish I could have gotten some good professional pictures in the suit but hopefully when thing align again for me next year I can have it done in the spring. I did get a few including a really good pic with the help of a reverse flash from the convention

And just for the heck of it (if only i could edit in the shows theme song)

I know the feeling of getting mentally stuck, forgetting basic methods for easy strapping and securing of parts. I wouldn't have even thought of suspenders either, but it's a great idea for a number of different pieces. I'm glad you found a solution, because the costume and the modifications look great. I hope you're able to enjoy the suit for years!

Thank you, I sure hope I can enjoy this for years. Flash has always been my favorite DC character, and glad that the cw made a series of it....my wife is also thankful that it is not all spandex like the cartoon/comic versions lol
