Lol! Those are some serious builders there. I'm just clowning around. But I do have a Y-wing lying around too. Will get to that someday. ;)

Gloss coat allows the wash to run better around and into the panel lines. If you washed with a matt coat, the wash will "stay" and smudge. I'll show you with photos when I get to that stage.

Eager to see how the gloss works with the wash...I've never used a gloss before, so it'll be a learning experience for me.

Sorry for the lack of progress, but I was busy with another project after the last of my parts came in, which is the beautiful chest armour from Bookface for my Quasimodo V 2 ESB Vader!

Love it that it's finally completed!

Thanks! The base colour is Tamiya Dark Grey (XF-24), and then toned with Deck Tan with a touch of black (XF-55). The touch of black mutes the creamy colour.

Started on the Hoth base. Taped up some terrain.

Then it mess time!!

Poured plaster on the base, and while it was half drying, messed up the trail left behind by the walker.
