When, oh when will they do a more decent sized X-1? 1/72nd scale just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Same here. They look great in the close up pics, but I'd need an electron microscope to build it.

I just want a 1/2256 version to match the Venator.

Got the TIE X-1 today and, at least on this kit, the engraved panel lines look terrific! Crisp, accurate and thin enough to sell the scale but big enough so they don't disappear under primer and paint. Detail overall is actually better than Fine Molds. The cockpit alone is a significant improvement.

Looking forward to more Bandai kits. I know they're focused on the OT vehicles for now, but it would be sweet to see what they could do with PT vehicles like the Republic gunship or Jedi starfighters (in 1/48, of course).

Bandai even put detail on the inside of the upper cockpit hatch! Nice.

I like this comment from the Vader Tie review.

I think the debate of these not matching the FM kits should finally be over.
