SNG studios Daily video

Simply astounding! The detail on the bridge pieces is inspired.

Will you have an episode of "The Experience" this week Steve?

A bit more done today on the bridge. This is hard work and slow. I didn't like the consoles just be a transparency like the 1/350 builds I have seen. They are suppose to be little lighted buttons. So I cut little plastic panels, drilled holes through them and placed very small fiber optics.
I took pictures with and without the dome. There's a piece of annoying hot glue webbing in there which is that white thing you see. Easily removed. Still along way to go.

Thanks Snow builder!

Bridge looks great in there. Only down side, it is sitting down in the B/C deck area but I am guessing that's due to the lack of space inside and was something you couldn't avoid.

Following your build constantly though. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys it's been a real bear working at this size. I nearly started over half a dozen times. But every time I stuck it in the bridge super structure and stood back I changed my mind.

All the best,

steve

Lots of coverage on how to make a Kirk Puppet and canopy form with a bit of slot car body and Battle Star thrown in. Hope you all enjoy it it's a long one this time. Here are some pictures of the Battle Star. Lots to do yet, light leaks, Armor, painting and so on. But we are getting there. Unfortunately I'm missing armor on the engine pods.

Thanks for worrying but "the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated". We were finishing our movie "Martians Attack SNG" and it will be released week after next. Trailer coming. On top of that I'm in the process of finishing a pilot script for a new space exploration Sci-Fi series. Andy Probert is designing the ship. And we hope to release info about the next project as soon as we are protected legally.

And we are finishing at long last, "Star Trek Sirius" which was started and not finished before my late with started her battle with cancer which but the film on ice for 3 going on 4 years now. If you don't remember it here's a short trailer.

Steve,
Love, Love, Love these shorts and experience.... your 3 part mold making of the Spock ears was a masters class in mold making for me - a casting novice at best - most would say hack :).

The little tid-bits of behind the scenes stuff is great... although I can see where some see the computer stuff as a bit boring - as a computer science person I love it, and am envious of the mad skills you and your compadre's have in all VFx. I'm a pretty good modeler, a decent painter, and wish I really had the time to hone all these skills so that I could call you a colleague - alas that probably will never happen - but I keep trying :). Oh to have the shop with all the toys at hand... totally envious there.

Keep pumping these out... please I learn something form each one :D
