Hello Everyone,
The planning stage is done, so it's ready to start on my rendition of an Imperial (AT-AT) Walker. I'll be using the Revell AT-AT kit #1859 and my goal is to construct an accurate stop-motion replica of the onscreen miniature in 1:72 scale. My intention is to use as much of the original kit as possible with the rest either being modified or scratched built. I spent the greater part of the year researching and drawing up a blueprint of the studio scale model to eventually be scaled down to the Revell kit scale.
Anyways, let's get started........
I'm using the Revell AT-AT kit #1859.
From my blueprints of the Studio Scale model, I scaled down the drawings to match the Revell kit.
THE HEAD: Part I
I used Baloo's drawings of the Revell head to trace onto styrene and then cut the parts out.
The face plate.
I used three pieces of light wood to act as structure for the head.
The bases for the side guns.
Eventually, the first neck joint will added to the head, which will be linked to the other joints.
There's a lot more to do with the head, so I'll putting it aside for now and start on the body. Until then....
