TMNT Cosplay Build - 90s version

Finally got a chance to paint the shell. First time ever using an airbrush.

My shell is now finished. Painted, and wearable.. and is quite comfy and moves well.. which is what I wanted.

Very light! Weighs next to nothing.

That shell came out very nice! Loving the texture. I say go Don because I feel the sculpt looks more like him, but that is just me.

Do what you want as this is your build, and it is looking great so far.

Thanks guys! Yeah I'm still planning to go Don. What I might do is rework the sculpt a little after I mold Don (if it isn't too badly ruined in the mold) and turn it into raph so I'll have both.

Thanks, still working. Working on the legs.. these things are so hard to sculpt. I am having a hard time getting the proportions right. My legs aren't very big to begin with and I also don't want to make them TOO big as I've seen some people do..

Thinner people are better frames for building creatures on.
If someone is big they make the costume look bulky. Like Ben Affleck as Batman. He is already a big guy. So adding on top of that frame he looks stiff and bulky.
Actors like the guy who played Robocop, Predator, or Abe Sapien are all medium, to thin.
So take advantage of your size.

Your sculpting is looking good. Make sure that the joints aren't thick since you really cant gain muscle in those areas.
It will also help with movement having the joins smaller. That way there wont be a lot of thick material bunching up.

Thanks Alpha, yeah the guys in the original suits weren't big guys either. (Ernie Reyes Jr. for example) I weigh about 165, but I'm tall (6'1")
I think I have the size about right for my body size. I'm a big fan of Daniel Bravo's suits, but his legs and arms always looked a tad on the big size to me.. and your explanation is why... he's a bigger dude in general and the suits are made on his body form which would have been bigger than say Ernie Reyes or Josh Pais.. and Grimwood.. there will be toe nails!
