This waiting period is outside the nominal rage.Nominal is a common term used throughout the aerospace industry, and probably engineering terminology across many fields.
You know, just doing the Type 1 phaser as a replacement is a VERY sensible idea!!!!Not being able to replace the battery on the Wand phaser has always been a nagging concern, I dread the day they don;t charge up any more. I wish they would produce a new Phaser 1 with a replaceable battery that is compatible with the older phasers. I think the P1 would sell well, people that don't have the older phaser would buy it and those with the older phasers would buy it too, so they can have one with a replaceable battery.
It mihgt be a quick and cheap run since they might be able to use the molds form the original phaser and just modify it a bit.
The “just modify it a bit” means it wouldn’t be a cheap run. There are many P1 molds (maybe hundreds) involved in the production run and each would need to be remachined to allow for a replaceable battery. After remachining, running test runs, more modifications, test runs, and set up the production line again.use the molds form the original phaser and just modify it a bit.
A couple more Tricorder mentions on TWC FaceBook page:
“We're still diligently working on the Star Trek Tricorder. We appreciate everyone's patience as we know we haven't been able to provide an update recently, but we hope to have more news we can share publicly very soon”!
“Definitely not in a back room! The Tricorder Replica is still 100% happening. The development has taken us longer than anticipated and we've hit a lot of bumps along the way, but our development team has put their blood, sweat, and tears into this project and we hope to have an update we can publicly share soon. We appreciate everyone's patience”.
This in response to negative posts claiming it’s not going to happen.

Thank you for your support. We are very close to a final product spec now and moving (inching towards) FEP… (final Engineering Production), the step before we press the button on full production. This has been a long road for everyone and we really appreciate the patience extended to us on this project. Thx

This has taken longer than we expected, but we have not given up, instead, we have reviewed and chased down each of the many issues that always dog a project like this and we hope we are nearly there. The issue with constant updates, is how many times can we say we are nearly there? Best just to wait and then when we are actually manufacturing, announce the fact… there have been too many false dawns… so hang tight, it is still coming.
So you think an AI program is making these responses and not Chris Bernardo? Why does it seem that GPT Chat AI….is writing not only individual responses to individual inquiries….but also blog entries?
Something doesn’t feeeeeeeeeel right…..just an observation.
Peace

Ooops a dooop….postSo you think an AI program is making these responses and not Chris Bernardo?
You should ask The Wand Co. for your money back. Oh wait…the excuses presented must be so convincing that no reasonable person could have any doubts about Wand’s delays.
