Star Ace Ray Harryhausen Skelton

I received this Star Ace skeleton from Jason and the Argonauts today.
I wasn't keen on the pose, as none of the skeletons with swords and shields stood in this pose in the film. They all had their sword arm down by theirs sides, but I ordered one anyway because I've always wanted a decent statue of this skeleton.
When I received it though and placed the sword in its hand I was even less happy with the pose, as I found the sword to be very distracting. From a few feet away, the sword is actually Infront of its face.
I knew I would never be happy with it the way it was, so I decided to reposition the arm.

Here is the statue as I received it.

Here is the statue after repositioning the arm.
I sawn through the elbow joint which was easy enough at first, but then I hit metal. It had a steel rod running through its arm, so that made things quite tricky. In the end I had to use the cutting tool on my Dremel to cut through the steel rod.
Once done, I used car body filler to build up the upper arm elbow section where I cut it and also added a little filler to the forearm.
After getting both arm sections to meet up with each other so the arm was straight, I drilled a hole in both arm sections and added a new steel rod.
I then mixed some paints and painted the filler.

Here is how it looks now.

Sorry, I quoted my own post there.
Messing around with photo editor here and added one of my photos to a screenshot from the film.

Wow! BIG difference!! Shame that you had to do that considering what you must have paid for it. However, it's A 100% improvement!!!
Before your conversion it was just a skeleton with a sword and shield...now, it's one of the children of the Hydra's teeth! VERY well done!!! --Ed

Thanks.
Just took a few photos in daylight...
