Lining the inside of foam armour with garden wire?

Hi guys,
I'm working on my first build ever, a War Machine mark 2 out of foam (using pepakura).
I was wondering if it'd be possible to line the inside of the armour with a sort of grid made of garden wire to make it more rigid.

Whats wrong with fiberglass? I would suggest that garden wire does not really have much strength, it bends really easily.

But I'm not an armor maker, so hopefully someone with more experience will post up some advice.

I used PEX irrigation tubing on my Space marine. It's basically flexible PVC. Similar idea. Works well though.

What Sylgian said above, also once you seal the foam, it should add some rigidness to the outside of it as well.

Thanks for the help guys. Would you recommend sealing with PVA or Plastidip?
