Help with identifying background item in Blade Runner (1982)

Looking for your thoughts as to what this background item is. We've looked at hair dryers from the 60s-80s but i don't believe that's what it is.
And you can probably ignore the text on it as we think that was stencilled onto it and not original.

(I moved this this over to the RPF from a Facebook post by Richard Page)

The $10 000 question:p Seems to me like some kind of oil/gasoline dispenser (heavy plastic). Good luck with your quest(y)

Rewatched this scene last night. It is definitely big. Can't really see how it's mounted to the shelf (possibly a small thin/flat handle or hinge). My first thoughts were a heat gun, immersion blender, glue gun, or some other power tool. I wonder if it could just be fabricated too - the concept art for the bathroom shows a couple loosely similar objects in that spot.

Out of curiosity, why did you all rule out the lettering being real? I would tend to agree from quick searches and since it's so prominent. But then again they have lots of prominent logos all throughout this movie.
