Depends on scale of the droid. It looked smaller in scale for the phone parts to work.

I think that may be a dimmer switch knob covering the uppermost hole in the Popoid piece...

Was any more of this droid ever identified? Tracked down a Starriors playset for the body so will be starting this shortly. Still looking for an affordable popoids piece (being quoted $53 just for P&P on a popoids set from the US!)

I never did find out what was used for the 'arms'. Thanks for the bump, maybe we'll get some answers with fresh eyes looking it over.

For the "hands", check plastructs website...don´t know the scale, but these look exactly like the dished head(s), used in the creation of Darth Vaders reveal mask:

Do you have a picture of higher resolution? Hard to make out the details...

I've started on my own build now - sprayed the body yesterday and added the perforated mesh. I managed to get the Popoids piece for the head. Still trying to work out the arms myself. And what pieces have been added to the Popoids head....

Long shot but this looks kind of similar to the "hands" not sure if it's the correct size though...if not its probably a plastruct dome
