Hankering for a Dungeons and Dragons bow

Working on a Hank's bow from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.

There are many versions because it was a hand drawn cartoon.

Start by picking a version you like.

Then make a template drawing in a size you like

Then cut out a holey foundation for sculpting stuff to cling to,

Make sure your pics are in the wrong order...THIS IS A MUST!!!

Then add Freeform air and sculpt

Add XTC with pigment to bring out defects and flaws

Use a pipe down the center to hold the center piece. Cover with something to apply the FreeForm Air

Added some gold dye with XTC layers

Cover with Rebound25, knowing I will pour resin in the handle, but will cut a hole in the Rebound to release the mold.

I LOVE the old 80's cartoon. Having the characters in a cameo in the new movie was totally awesome!

So, I etched a metal rod.

Made a mold

Used Silpoxy to strengthen the back and made a FreeForm air plug for where I slit it open

Made a center piece. Then poured resin into the Bow arm and glued the center grip in place and patients tweaked the angle of interaction to my liking.

Then made a silicone mold, with extra silicone around the joint to HOPEFULLY make adding the second arm easy

The horns were slush cast in Smoothcast 325, with glow in the dark gold powder, Ceya Flourescent Gold, and a touch of Cryptolite.

Crystal Clear with the gold powder for the center piece. I put a clear acrylic tube through the center to keep it straight.

I like da glow in da dark stuff.

Oh wait!
Actually, it *IS* magical.
