Finished up my FDM printed (Bambu Lab P1S) Endor Blaster from ROTJ and simply wanted to show it off.

The goal was to recreate as accurately as possible the film prop itself. I wanted it to be also “functional” so just like a real MGC the trigger releases the hammer, the bolt can be pulled back, the safety works and will lock the hammer in place, mag plate comes off and the sight will slide. It can also be field stripped and fully disassembled as well.

First these are the pics I specifically payed attention to for this recreation. I do have two MGC’s on hand as well that I also studied to help with these details.

Everything was first drawn up in Solidworks. There is over 50 individual files created and then assembled for these CAD pics..

And lastly the print itself. The longest print time is the top and bottom receiver as they took over 12hrs, while the whole blaster itself probably takes about 2/3 days as there are so many individual parts to be printed and in different colored PLA filaments. The screws, springs and glass lens in back are pretty much the only things not printed. Most parts are printed on an angle to avoid print lines as much as possible. I used both a .4mm nozzle (.12mm height) and a .2mm nozzle (.06mm height) depending on the part itself and the details desired to be captured. I’m really happy with how this one came out.

How much post-processing did you have to do on the prints? Because those layer lines are practically invisible and it's insane. If layer lines like that are a common experience/easy to setup with Bambu prints i may just have to sell my Ender 3 and try to eventually save up for one

Zero post processing outside of snipping/pulling off supports. These prints are pretty much straight off the bed. It’s insane isn’t it?!

Downright beautiful print.

Also, the screw in the sight hinge - where did you find that!? Freaking fantastic step in research, thank you

Thanks dude. Honestly I’ve collected so many pics over the years I can’t remember who or where I grabbed it sorry. It’s was just filed away in my Endor collection. I’ve had it since at least 2018 for what that’s worth.
