Hello RPF!

Hope everyone has had a pleasant holiday ‘23 season and is rolling into a happy New Year!

I’m so happy to make the post, as I started here as a mere hobbiest back in 2001. Before then, I was just a wee fanboy making cool Halloween costumes and building model kits. In 2003 I started selling replicas here, and they weren’t great… but they weren’t too terrible either. Since then Ive grown and grown and grown here and on other forums, have made great friends and business relationships and beyond. Last year I finally ‘went pro’ and got to master, mold, and cast parts for Mack’s Factory, which led to m first on set gig in a stunning debut putting proton packs and various props together for Eli and Peyton Manning. That led to building props for events and display in all of Illfonic’s offices (makers of Ghostbusters: Sprits Unleashed), which then led to being one of the first stops in the new props and equipment for Ghostbusters:Frozen Empire.

While it had its challenges, the job was very satisfying, and I’m enjoying seeing pics of the new gear (how bout them coats?!).

Most satisfying was creating the Ecto Goggles, which I accidentally designed from the ground up.

We began with a set of masters I’d been defining for Ghostbusters: Afterlife goggles. You know, the Polaroid camera versions. At nearly the same time, one motorcycle touring company commissioned a pair of goggles that looked like the Afterlife set, and then I got the call to inquire what parts and kits I had lying about for the upcoming filming dates in London. Both commissions, coincidentally, wanted Afterlife style but no, and I’m quoting in my best cockney accent ‘none ah that camera bollucks.’

So off I ran to assemble a fast master for approval, then molding, and casting. 10 sets were cast up, and the masks were prebuttoned and prepainted good ole’ OD Green. One set was painted and loosely assembled for guidance. As UK Union rules are strict, only parts could be purchase and then assembled, and I think we all know by now that the UK crew cracked those props outta the park.

So 6 sets of goggles were shipped over, 2 went to the motorbike tour company in Alberta, 1 stayed here for me, and 1 was just recently shipped off to Ghostbusters News for a reveal video. The molds are still here and in great shape!

I’m just so happy to post this here as it is hugely obvious that I’d never have gotten these opportunities for professional work had I never cut my teeth here! My thanks to the mods over the decades, to my customers, and (weird to type THIS)to my fans. Enjoy the photos below with some additional details, and off course YES! These will be coming available in a few days so we can burn up the molds!

Thanks RPF! And Happy New Year 2024!

Here's a look at the second version, seen in the second scene of the film. These graced the heads of three characters; Callie, Podcast, and the man himself, Ray Stantz.

AND, there's a THIRD version!! More on that later!
