Blade Runner : Low budget Leon's COP 357 (toy).

Hello all,
I thought this might be interesting some of you.
You can find this toy replica on Aliexpress (different prices so choose wisely) : not the best but better than nothing and a pretty good base to improve the final look with some skills...
Silver color is offered but not shown in photos.
I join a photo for comparison with an air-soft COP 357 which I think is close of the real gun. Second photo shows the working loading mechanism, fire mechanism works too (smoothly shots plastic bullets...).
Maker markings on the side are painted not engraved. Other side shows holes for the screws...
Let me know if you need any detail.

That's not bad. Getting the airsoft one is nearly impossible. I couldn't find it on Aliexpress.

Did you search COP 357 (I guess you did though...)? Could that be a country censorship?
I will PM you a link just to check the "censorship theory" ;-)

It arrived. The firing mechanism and latch is really nice.

I did a quick makeover. Filling in screw holes, adding screws to the handles and went over it with some rub and buff and chrome powder. I have to say it looks not bad at all. I might order another and properly paint it up. 20230615_164749.jpg20230615_164741.jpg

Looks great! Gonna have to pick one up for my blaster collection!
Can't go wrong for the price! The firing mechanism is really neat, the bullet casings have springs in them that you load the pellets into, you then load the bullets as you would the real thing and the gun cycles through the barrels when you pull the trigger, leaving the empty casings to be ejected when you open the latch.

Can you DM me which vendor you actually used on ali? There are about 9 currently listed all with slightly different prices.. I'd hate to try and save 2 bucks and end up ordering from a scammer. I also found a store in the US selling it, but it says delivery is 6 weeks so I suspect they just buy 1 from ali and reship it to you for twice the money. xD

You just need to know where to look for the airsoft ones.

I'm going to order one of those Aliexpress ones for sure. I really like the cop357.

I see you're in the UK, Ben at "raresoft" find him on Facebook. That pics actually the banner photo but is mine, from when I part did it with him. He does it himself now but there's not a lot airsoft wise he can't get.

Just picked one of these up. $40 Cnd right to my door which is kind of insane considering how long I have looked for any kind of replica of this gun. I didn't go to Ali, I went to this specialty site in UK (via China I'm sure), which has a lot of interesting content:

Leaving as is for now but I'm sure I'll have a go at at least aging it.
