Toadmeister, thank you for the paint recipe! I did a complex mix for my Fine Molds/Revell X-Wing and this seems a lot simpler and uses Tamiya, which I like a lot better: http://www.nexus-models.com/red-5-build.html
It came out pretty well for my first attempt at this kind of detail, though I splotched up the washes too much...
For your Y-Wing though, did you use white on the head piece and the domes, a lighter mix of white and deck tan, or is it just weathered? I'm just about to start on mine. Thanks!!
