It was a really great paint work for me. Thanks the inspiration to Mr Randy Cooper. I hope you like it!
Black primer
Three colors shades. In this methode I painted the surface, like a WWII German fighter mottling technique. I dilluted the paint very vell (5 thinner, 1 paint), and made it light coats. First; Barely Gray, than Pale Gray Blue, and the last is White Gray
The Stardestroyer’s surface is not smooth. There are panel lines, trenches, turbo laser towers, etc. How can I simulate that? I spent two weeks on the Internet, and I found this thecnique, from Mr Randy Cooper. The most important point is; avoid the repeting pattern, but it has to be symmetrical.
I used a 0.03 millimeter panel liner pen, and aluminium ruler.
Half way. Over one and a half hours … My eyes are burned
Finished! Don’t panic! You have one more side!
First layer of the white. I diluted very well, and sprayed very-very thin layers. The dilluting ratio was: 4 thinner, 2 paints, and low air pressure (around 12PSI).
End of the white painting. there were four layers. Had to careful, do not hide the preshading, and the hard-work-lines.
