Adam Savage's Black Series Mando Helmet

Sooo much better! Used Mothers scratch remover to get a decent shine then some oil pints to weather. Cant beat the results for an hours work.

Perfect rainy day build.
So, is this just straight out of the box and then polished using the Mother's scratch remover? No clear coat?

This is the closest I have seen anyone get to matching the reflective surface you see on the show with a BS helmet. His helmet on the show is definitely more mirror finish and without doubt NOT satin or matte. The reflectivity is just knocked down due to some expert weathering to yield the impression of oils from repetitive handling, grime, dust, and of course lots 'o mud. I agree there are different surfaces/faces of the Mando helmet that are not at mirror finished as others, however. Kudos to you man, this is great work.

I think I want to try the Mothers treatment and then maybe Tamiya smoke then weather. I really like the more mirror finish but I want a more bluish/metal tint.
