With 2016 Halloween around the corner we ask my 2 1/2 year old Daughter what she wanted to be for Halloween (Last year she was Ludo from Labyrinth)
See Thread http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=249666
So she says " YUUUUUKON!!! and BUMBLE!!!!" She's been watching that movie since June.
I told my wife this could actually be pretty cool since my Daughter is 33" tall and I am 6'-1" I am pretty sure I can build and almost true to scale Bumble with her being Yukon.
First I set out to get some screen shots and found a few where Yukon Cornelius is standing beside bumble.
I then imported the pics into Autocad and scaled Yukon to be 33" tall and seeing what that would make bumble size wise.
and that worked out to be
7' 1" tall 3' 4 3/4" wide at the Chest with an arm span of 7 feet
I knew this would be huge....but not impossible.
so my daughter and I began what she calls "BIG BUMBLE BUILD"
Step 1 -
Out of Autocad I printed a 1/12 scale version just on paper and traced it out on cardboard so that we could make a 1/12 scale version that I could make all my patterns off of.
Step 2-
She an I made our little bumble out of Monster Clay medium
After this I put tape on him and created my patterns....scanned them back into autocad and scaled them back up to full size printed them out on my large format plotter and started cutting my foam parts.
(I have pics of this process I may add later if their is questions about it.)
