2013 Toronto Prop Party

Well the prop party is over for this year and I think it was another great success!! Everyone seemed to enjoy it !! Can't wait till next year!! I hope there are some more great raffle prizes!!

The series follows two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester as they travel around hunting demons, ghosts, vampires etc. They drive a very cool black 1967 Chevrolet Impala (which has become one of the stars of the show). The canon in the show is that demons etc. are among us and that there is a community of "hunters" that hunt and destroy them. Sam and Dean's mother is killed by a demon and their father becomes a hunter, then brings the boys into the "family business".

Your Supernatural props were underappreciated but so, so awesome. Thanks for bringing them to the party. John's journal must have been a lot of work.

Whoa...it's already here. Tomorrow came a heck of a lot faster than I thought it would. :lol

Could it be that the 'Man of Steel' will make it's debut at the Toronto Prop Party?:angel

I guess those attending will know for sure. ;)

David

David, it was so amazing getting to meet you and talk to you for so long yesterday. Your work is incredible. As a fashion design student myself, your table was my personal favourite. I hope we can meet again soon for another chat!

It was my first year this year and I was blown away by all the talent I saw yesterday. It was a highly inspirational and educational experience. Getting to talk to everyone about how they constructed their props and costumes was just wonderful. Hopefully my boyfriend and I will have our own table next year. :) Thanks so much for inviting us!

I loved RPFKOV's Supernatural props, as did my girlfriend! So glad we got a chance to talk a while about them!

Exhausted from all the work, prep, talking, fun, and driving, but had a great time! Great seeing everyone's props, and great getting to talk, though often not enough!

I also had a chance to talk with PRFKOV and loved the items she made. Very impressive. As was all the other items people brought.

Another phenominal Toronto prop party, thanks to Andrew, John and everyone else for their hard work! I only took a few pics on my phone too, I'll try to get them up ASAP. We have some amazingly talented prop makers here in ON.

To Alfie, the winner of the Assassin's Creed Heroclix set:

The cards that were supposed to be in the box were mailed out today.

It was my first time out, but it was really great meeting everyone, and seeing all the work they have done. I had a great time. The party gave me some ideas for the future, but I'll have to see what I can work out. I only have a couple of pictures, but their on my Tablet, I'll post when I upload them from home.

Thanks for all the advice and the kind words on my props.

Loved the Assassin's Creed hoodie. :)

Thanks, and I loved your props so much I had to take a few home with me. I think my favorite of the ones I got from you is the ripped, taped, and weathered Marty letter, just so kool.

Any tips on framing/displaying the pages? I'm low on wall space, I may have to take something down.

Thank you!

I'll post a pic of how I display my BTTF paper props tonight. :)

I had a great time and talked to quite a few people about my props. The best part was seeing everyone else's props up close and getting to ask all kinds of questions. Thanks to everyone for sharing your insights and "tricks of the trade". :D

I must admit, there wasn't a single display that didn't have something that impressed me on it! Loved the Beatles stuff, the KITT & KARR vehichles were awesome, Delorean epic as always, B9 was way cool, RPFKOV has the makings of a paper prop master, R2 was amazing, Assassin's Creed stuff was fun, and on and on. :thumbsup
