Luke DL44 - painted or natural?

Hi everyone,

I'm finally fixing/ filing my Denix and building up Luke's DL44.
Just wanted to get people's take on the Mauser's finish on the prop - painted or natural blued/rusted?

These pics sure make it look like it's a natural finish - please chime in experts!

It´s been a live shooting C96, "natural" blued finish, not painted :thumbsup

One of my faves. If I ever get another Mauser for a decent price I am building a live fire...

blued with black painted mount and possibly black painted greeblies. hans anh gun was a mixture of blueing and black paint too!

Definitely blued finish.
I used the Birchwood Casey aluminium black on the scope mount and flash hider as it weathered back quite nicely.
