Blade Runner 2049: Bento Boxes & Such

Thanks to some nice pics of the props / set dressing on display at SDCC 2017, I've ID'ed some of the bento boxes used in the Bibi's Bar scene (?) in the film.

A lot of these are Mon Bento boxes, in a couple color combinations, as is the bottle, and the flatware (apparently).

I do not know what the domed, covered bowls / dishes are, but I suspect the colored & gray trays are the internal components of the Mon Bento boxes.

Mon Bento has a sort of app on their site that allows you to order custom color combinations; I suggest you give it a look.

I think I can identify the bowls shown in the photos. They are Blue Dragon brand Noodle Woks. (I buy them regularly) They are readily available in stores in the UK.

Thank you so much for ID'ing those!

I looked all over the net for disposable bowls, and take-out bowls, and foodservice things, and room service, and Tupperware-like things – could not find 'em at all!

... There's not gonna be one found object that's not stupid expensive in this movie, is there?

No problem. If it's any additional help, these appear to be called FF instant noodles in other parts of the world.

Thank you – that's helpful as well.

Those are still weirdly hard to find over here, for some reason, but there are a few on Amazon, for any US seekers, as "Tom Yum" instant noodles.

I've not seen these, they don't appear to be in Sainsbury's (I cant find them on their website either). They are on Amazon though!

I'm not sure about the larger supermarkets but they stock them in most of the smaller local shops around here.

I get them from the local Spar shop. There's also a small grocery shop near here that stocks them. It seems that small local shops are a better bet than supermarkets.

Yeah i'm sick of trying to track down **** in shops when nowhere seems to stock anything anymore. Online it is.

I hope they actually taste good too

Right, picked up two of these woks from a local shop, for local people. Question is, what type of paint should I use? They look like they have some sort of texture to them...

I accidentally hit the one click buy on amazon twice. So spent £26 quid on ***king noodle woks. Luckily they sent the wrong flavour, I emailed them and they just offered a full refund and told me to keep them as goodwill. Result!
