Hey everyone,
I picked up a Black Series Special Forces TIE dirt cheap, and decided to re-do it to try a few new things out. Being the color it is, there's not a ton to do unless you really want to send it through the ringer, which I didn't want to do. Everything runs on a 9v battery pack. I have nowhere to put it, it's so big!
First was disassembly and priming and metalizing it for rubber cement chipping.
After that was a lot of drilling and piping. I tried a short, lensed FO system this time with high intensity LEDS and clear acrylics. trying it for the first time, it worked pretty well. Don't know if i'd do it again.
After that, finished painting and weathering. Not a ton to do on matte black, I really like doing grey ships like my falcon and X-Wing, and the regular TIEs too. More for me to fiddle with. But overall it's size makes up for it.
