Here are a few pics of my recently completed 1/1000 TOS stye dreadnought. Bashed together from two Enterprise kits. Still need to finish the base...

Backstory...
Named for the biblical angel of destruction and ruler of the bottomless pit, the USS Abaddon was built over a 2 year period between 2269 and 2271 in a secret facility deep within the Rigellian asteroid belt thru the joint efforts of Starfleet Command and Section 31. She incorporates salvaged Doomsday Machine and captured Romulan cloaking device technology thanks to the efforts of Captain James T Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise in the years prior to her construction. The Abaddon is the second ship in her class following the destruction of her sister ship, the USS Goliath, for which the class was named. Unlike the Goliath she is outfitted with carbon-neutronium composite armor over a tritanium alloy inner hull. In addition to standard, heavy, and mega-phasers (the turrets seen fore and aft) she is equipped with three forward and two stern firing photon torpedo ports. Her most powerful weapon though is a tuneable anti-proton beam emitter located on her bow which is capable of destroying entire planets if used at full strength. This and her armor plating come courtesy of research conducted on the remains of the Doomsday Machine. She also has cloaking capability, triple redundant nested deflector shielding, and advanced tactical targeting sensors able to locate and lock on to several enemy targets at once. Her main mission is to discourage incursions into the disputed territories along the Federation-Klingon border during the period of the Federation-Klingon Cold War. As such, she is tasked with confronting and overpowering any vessel or vessels engaged in acts of aggression against the Federation whether they be Klingon, Romulan, Gorn, or other hostile forces. During fleet-to-fleet engagements she takes on the role of a "wedge buster", causing panic and disarray within the enemy's attack formations. A favorite tactic used by her legendary commander, Captain Karis Tatenen, during one such battle, which took place not long after her launch, involved positioning the Abaddon far ahead of the Federation fleet directly in the path of the oncoming Klingon armada. With cloaks up the Abaddon sat silently as the enemy fleet passed by. Now completely surrounded, Tatenen locked weapons onto the enemy ships, decloaked, and opened fire. Within minutes the Abaddon had destroyed or disabled more than twenty D7's and was engaging a trio of the even larger and more powerful Klingon heavy battleships. The most powerful vessels in the Klingon fleet, they fought valiantly but, in the end, their disruptors and shields were no match for the superior armor and firepower of the dreadnought. With the rest of the Federation fleet arriving to mop up what remained of the Klingon invasion force, the battle ended in a rout and Sherman's planet was saved.
Here's a photo of the Abaddon's captain reciting a dedication at her launch.
Karis Tatenen (aka Destroyer of Klingons) definitely had a flair for the dramatic...
