Boots?

Hey there, long time watcher first time poster. Anyway, I'm working on my Kylo Ren cosplay right now and I've pretty much got the full ensemble in the works (making my own tunic/cloak based off of Astralrayn's Soft Parts WIP & Guide, modifying a Dark Series helmet, etc.), but I think I've hit a snag. Looking through everyone's guides and what not it's hard to find any mention of what kind of boots you guys are using. I know, best case scenario I would get them custom made, but to be honest I'm a poor college student and I'm trying to hack this whole thing out for under $400. Any suggestions for boots I should order in? I'm hoping for at least semi-screen accuracy/quality but also not too 'spensive, if you catch my drift.

Gio does accurate Kylo boots (280$+shipping) and I know imperialboots will do the Kylo boots sometime in January (for less, I hope), but right now your best bet for getting *somewhat* accurate boots on a 400$ costume budget is modifying store bought boots with some pleather (or real leather).

These are $50 boots off amazon. I added some vinyl to the front after sewing the ridges. The straps are 1 inch, but the buckles are about $3 each.

These are the only two pictures I'm able to find, seeing as the Anaheim exhibit (which is almost certainly our best reference so far) doesn't really show the boots at all. It looks like Jango is on the right track though. Would you be able to provide an Amazon link to those boots you mentioned?

These are the boots I bought. The ridged portion will need to be made and applied.

Search for Funtasma Walker 130s. Pretty much gone in size large, but small, medium, and extra large seem to be available

Well, I've spent the last few days trying to find the best boot for the best price and I think I may have finally found one that I'm at least somewhat satisfied with. The toe portion isn't exactly right, but they have the double buckles on the calf and ankle and it comes in a size 11, which is apparently equivalent to my size in mens (9.5-10). I would be removing the top knee portion and potentially be modifying them to include the horizontal ridges down the front (my sewing machine isn't exactly awesome at leathery materials, so we'll see if it can handle this stuff). Not to mention they're stupid cheap and they come with free shipping if you're a prime member. I dunno, tell me what you guys think:

Edit: Here's another one I just barely stumbled upon. It appears to have a more accurate toe than the one above, but would require more alteration with the buckles. That being said, you wouldn't have to buy the buckles separately, so there goes half the hassle right there. It is a little bit pricier though in the larger sizes, so maybe it's a no go after all:
