Moisture Vaporator

I wanted to show progress on my 22" Moisture Vaporator. I've always wanted a desktop sized model to go next to my PC screen.

I still have a few more parts to finish up and then I will start molding/casting the skinny poles.

Please let me know what you think or if you have any questions, thanks!

Joe

Very cool! I've been thinking for a while about doing a diorama with a model on Tatooine so I could build some little vaporators. I just have to come up with a model.

Thank you all! I appreciate you looking at this thread!

I just have to come up with a model.

What size Vaps are you looking for?

Is this made in a particular scale, for a particular reason, or did you just pick a size?J

No particular scale. First thing was to match the reference. This is actually based one two of the ANH full sized props. I bashed elements of both but the measurement correlation between the different structures is pretty much scaled down correctly, with only a few millimeters between the ref and my model. Therefore the biggest factor was finding existing material with dimensions and measurements close to what I needed. Luckliy, all that resulted in a model in and around the size I desired. I originally wanted a 25" tall model but settled at 22". My top goal was to have a good sized model with nice big detail. I'm going to cast this to possibly allow for a USB port. ;)

Thanks again guys! I'm ordering some LEDs for this bad boy so I can finish it up.

Wonderful! I plan to make a 1/5th scale one to match the Landspeeder - nice to see yours take shape!

Holy! That's gonna be one big SOB! Awesome job on the Speeder BTW!
