From examining the screen-used suit in person, the raised appliances seem to be cast in dark blue, but with a metallic grey powder layer, so the general appearance in photos reflects back as much more silver/grey than the color of the suit. The body armor is the most frustrating. What color is it Dark BLue, or Grey? My Metallic suit form flexdesigns.com is a 6-8 week process: however I did go ahead and purchased a upper body suit to show you guys the look of what to expect.
Keep up the great work.
I dig the colour! It seems noticeably more saturated than the movie version. I imagine once you get the silicone printed on it it'll pull the saturation down a bit. But honestly, I kind of like your colour more than the movie suit. It's a little less Snyder and a little more Fleischer.
I'm LOVING this thread. Great stuff.

Updates are great. Can see I will be able to have a suit that is so close to the film suit.
this rock man, keep it up.
That looks fantastic!!! I too would love to see what that shade of blue looks like with the chain mail printed on it. Have you attempted dying the white 4-way?
Eager to see this come together

As to the tests Mask Rider has done, really great work so far. You're getting in the wheelhouse, the matte 4-way stretch white fabric is really close to the behavior of the suit fabric. The color of the blue in person is less shiny than the (non-matte) blue sample fabric, and a bit less saturated.

Cheers, but I was referring to the "body armor accents" like the wrist cuffs and belt/obliques.Thanks Lunaman , u gave us lots of info on the real suit , i was going to give up when i found out that the Blue Lycra cant print the texture on , than u pointed us to the correct material , so we can see the bright light again ..... Hopefully the White Matte material turns out good after dye in the blue i selected .
Also great point on the texture color , i had studied through lots of pics from the suit display , as u mentioned , the printed the texture in dark blue material and coated the surface with Metallic grey powder . Texture Not printed in Grey for sure ... also go through many scene on the movie ... the texture looks BLUE .. even when reflect in sunlight when Superman first fight with Zod , it looks blue ... also another scene when he was in Zod's spaceship with Louis , the lights reflect also show the texture looks like blue .

The printed (chainmail) texture has no powder or metallic layer. It is a very dark blue with a glossy treatment, almost as though one pass was done in blue and another pass was done over the top with a translucent black gloss.

I received the muscle suit and must say these are pretty wonderfully made. I chose the Lean version (did not want to look to big and bulky) The suit is light and very durable, not to mention breathable. Sorry for the color saturation my phone camera is not the greatest. The Silver metallic suit takes 6-12 weeks due to it being a special order.
Wow, well done
