Pulse rifle custom airsoft MP5

Hello all I was attempting quest's Nerf PR but mess up the scale and it was too small (instead of 25mm I had 23) so I used my pieces put them together and then looked at my collection and triedy MP5 A8 airsoft and I was in awe it looks like a sub nosed assault version with no grenade launcher so when I get home from work I will take pictures (I did it at 12 midnight and went to bed)

This is my first try at Styrene but I have been building car models all my life (30 yrs) the last one was the scope and I thought it a good idea for some kind of under gun what do you all think?

New pictures after paint. I didn't have my putty yet so I sealed it all it with hot glue. Kinda hives it the welded look so what y'all think?

Cool! The rail/handle looks great. The magazine is pretty rough, but who cares? To me, it has a great prototype vibe, perhaps a precursor to the M41A?

After seeing the awesome snub nose and other custom Blade Runner blasters being developed by members here, I've really been thinking about "expanded universe" customs; it's great others are too!

Yeah I thought so too! I'm probably going to remove the magazine and reshape it do they make shorter mags for airsoft mp5's

If I remember correctly, Cameron's original idea for the pulse rifle was to use an MP-5 before deciding he wanted something with a beefier kick. Nice bit of work here.

As for shorter mags for the MP-5 they do make the small half mags that are used in the MP-K, might have a look over at evike.com or some other site that sells airsoft accessories.

Yeah they (Ridley Scott not James Cameron but close though) went with a Thompson m1a1 military version and I looked for the short mags but problem.is its a cheap mp5 from a company in Germany and bikes shipping to here (which they don't have it) is expensive and all the others only fit TM Mp5's ill just cut it down tomorrow or leave out the mag all together and make the hull shorter

I'm not sure you should change it at all!

I dig your build. I was only referring to the roughness of the glue welds. The handle/shroud looks nice and smooth while the magazine has the weld look. If the magazine were smooth, the piece would have a more uniform look.

But that's only if you're after a uniform look. I hope my saying the mag was rough wasn't a buzz kill! I wasn't trying to say I know better about anything. To the contrary, I think the build is cool!

No worries brother it's alright I just cut it down to shorten it anyway to make it more like the original
I will be trying out the bondo filler this weekend it'll be my first time

Nice job man! I making a pepakura of the Pulse Rifle. Mines not exact either, but that whats gives it a nice touch because a lot of marines would customize their M41-A's to give it its own personal feel.

This what I've came up with so far with mine. It's rough, but I'm still working on it. A cardboard model with a plaster cloth layer on the outside.

Well here's the latest update. I tried bondo. . . My first try. And not too bad. Needs some touch ups on paint buuuut . . . I added a flip out motion tracker. XD and I added some rails for mounting accessories

That flip-out smartphone mount is brilliant. I love it.

I liked the earlier iteration, without the tacti-cool mods. The M41A's trademark has always been it's rough, aggressive, 1980's sci-fi attitude. No rails, no lasers, basically the scaled-up future thompson SMG that it was built upon. It looks...amurican.

So I think sans optics, with the straight-mag design you are working on, it would be a perfect carbine/smg imagination of the beloved M41A. (better than the godawful iteration in the Colonial Marines game)

Thanx. . . I think. Lol yeah I am saving the old school version for my Nerf gun I went more modern for the MP5 just using what I had lying around. But thanx for the compliment and yeah the idea for the mount came to me at work after I found some stuff there too

Question. . . my mp5 have weaver rails on it stock but some of them are 25mm wide (1") and not 20mm (.78) does anyone know if there are accessories for 25mm rails or am i just going to have to modify the 20's to get them to fit? I mainly just need them for a flash light (25mm surefire) and maybe a front grip any help is appreciated
