Just finished the show. Damn good ending. I felt it all wrapped up fairly well.
A few things..... spoilers below.
Did anyone else find the sex scene came out of nowhere? Not Vic and Walt getting together but just the scene itself? Also, how could he think his daughter would have a chance to run for Sheriff with literally no law enforcement background? Does that happen?
Ya that whole scene just escalated fast. But man, Vic...I can’t complain about that!

I wondered about Cady taking over as Sheriff as well. Being a lawyer she would at least be familiar with the legal system, but the Sheriff is an elected official and I don't know if he has the authority to simply "give" the job to someone.
She was? Hmmm, I missed that. Thanks! She was putting up campaign signs, so presumably, she's running for sheriff, not just taking over...
Just seems like a fairly absurd idea. I mean maybe there are plenty of real world examples..... but.....She was putting up campaign signs, so presumably, she's running for sheriff, not just taking over...
Oh, definitely. Between that and the person he chose to replace him as Sheriff, it seems the sensibilities and reasoning that made him such a good Sheriff decided to retire as well. :facepalm...Also, did anyone else think it was a bit insane for Walt to think Vic could have ONE horse riding lesson and then be fine to ride in a cross country race?

Actually, to me the way they wrapped up the final episode seemed rushed and forced as if the writers didn't really know what to do. I'd much rather they would have ended it with Walt and the deputies at the Sheriff's station; business as usual, just another day at the office. I don't know why the people who produce these shows always seem to think the audience needs some form of big send off with characters making drastic life changes.
Well.... I don't know about you guys but now that the show is over... I've moved on to the books. 25 pages into the first novel and it's damn good.
