Ok, I know there have been threads about this in the past. I've posted in them, but i still need help.
I modified one of the survival knives, to be pretty darn close to the movie prop, and after a few attempts, I've got the paint where I can live with it. (I am soooooo bad at the painting part of this hobby. I had it PERFECT once, but I messed it up, and the new paint job, is only so, so.)
Anyways, it's set here, unfinished for years, and I figured, that's kind of dumb, considering that it would be so easy to finish. The problem is, I can't figure out the grip wrap. Is it leather? Is it vinyl? Is is colored tape? Does it over lap, all the way up the grip, or is each time around just butted up against the one before it? (If you know what I mean.)
It's pretty clear to me, that they kept the wood blocks, that come on either side of the knifes handle. under it's original nylon cord wrap. But that's all I'm sure of on the grip area of this knife.
