I'm a new guy to thie forum, but I've been on the Star Wars forums for the past 5 years or so. I troop with the 501st as Jango Fett, ROTS Vader, and Jek from the Clone Wars cartoon series.
A year ago I made a functioning rotary cannon seen in the movie. It spun with a rechargable 18 volt drill and had blue LEDs. IT also weighed 22 lbs. Since them I've made about 6 of these things. Some spin, some don't, all of them have blue LEDs.
I'm now making a new version, I feel it's a better because it's scaled down to be more accurate.
Here's a brief history as this thing has evolved.\
Version 1. 22 lbs.
Version 2. I made 3 of them
Version 3. Got it down to 10 lbs, spins and lights.
My most recent Version. Staic prop, no lights, no spinning, smaller, and so far about 5 lbs. I'm still building it as of today. The rear portion isn't done and it needs to be painted and assembled.
