I've loved this book since it came out, but one thing I'd like to know is how the blueprints for various ships in the book were created. I'm aware that the authors had access to Lucasfilm for their work in the past, but would that have been the same for this book? For instance, I'm trying to ascertain the accuracy of the YT-2000 blueprint in the book, and while it seems correct for the most part, it's got some inaccuracies when compared to the Otana in X-wing Alliance, mainly in terms of minor details (the vents on the bottom of the engine are missing, the windows/sensors on the turrets continue all the way around instead of breaking at the engines, etc.). I'd love to use this blueprint for making an accurate model of the ship, but it would be nice to know why certain changes happened when making the blueprints and what they were based on in the first place.
