Your favorite captains chair?

I have a dream... It's to have a replica full size Defiant captain's chair. A dream I am steadily working on.

But in the process or research, I have been collecting images of other captain's chairs from all of trek and even from other Sci-Fi genre's. I am awed by the inventiveness of each one, redressed or all new.

So, even though we know that Kirk's TOS chair will win, hands down; what's your favorite Captain's/Commander's chair; from any Genre?

Mine is the Defiant's.

My favorite is the captain's chair from the Enterprise D, season 2-7 version.
Followed closely by the Defiant captain's chair. It will always be special to me as I got to actually sit in it on the Defiant bridge set.

There was a deleted scene from one of the films (I am thinking it was the last one) where they showed the seat have automatic seat belts during an emergency. Which I must say I always thought they needed. The captain of every starship in the fleet at one time or another seems to go tumbling out of that sucker, no matter what the design is. :rolleyes
Seems like there was also one with some type of thigh clamps (maybe the arm rests moved down to lock you in (or something like that - my memory is getting a little old) as well, but that seemed even more painful in a throw-from-the-chair situation.:love

Yep, that was Nemesis... the scene though amusing would have taken away from Data's already not so emotional death.

The restraints were on the refit Enterprise chairs from ST:TMP to ST:III... though I believe you only actually see them used in TMP. The arm rests folded down over the person's lap to keep them from flying out. Shortly there after, the cast and crew realized that it was just the camera man shaking and they were in no real danger.

My favorite has to be Picard's Enterprise-D chair. Basically season 2 through 7. Although it changed a bit over the seasons, the only real noticeable parts were the controls on the arm rest after the first season.

I always thought the DS9 chair kinda' paid homage to Kirk's TOS chair in a way. It had that blocky wrap around and on the bottom and a raised platform to sit atop.

My faourite Captain's Chair would be from the Enterprise-E - looks very comfortable. Well, I can say I got one Recaro as a seat, so it's very close to this comfortness.
