Was thinking of getting this suit for halloween. Looks great actually. Your thoughts? Flat out I cannot afford REAL leather, so pleather will have to work. This looks really nice as long as measurements are accurate to my size as they tailor.

Anyone have any honest opinions on this suit? Please lmk please. Much appreciated.

x-suit on Ebay

For the money they are really nice suits. There are some differences between that one and the screen used one. The main ones being the "belt" and the crotch of the pants.

I ordered and received a Kitty Pryde Last Stand Suit from the seller called cosplaying...here is the rub, it was for my 10 year old daughter. I was very sceptical they could make it to her size.....let me tell you this thing was near to perfect. The sizing was dead on, the look was dead on, and the service was perfect. Even the gloves match the movie ones to a T...I was bowled over and needless to say my daughter was delighted...I can take some pics to show you te quality...mind you, this is a different seller than the one you posted above.

Thx for the first hand reviews. Anyone else I'd really appreciate it, but sounds like these are actually pretty damn nice for the money. They sure look great. I just hope they are very accurately tailored to fit. Does anyone know if the sizing runs small or is it pretty standard fitting? i don't want mine too loose because they look fairly fitting on the actors.

Also, did they arrive pretty fast? I really want to make sure I can get mine in by October 20th.

You can thank me for the bootcut pants. The maker was about to make them straight down when I sent him a few pointers about these stylish cut pants. They rock now. I wish they had a DELUXE vercion of these suits in real leather.

I think the guy who makes those is a member of the x-men cosplay forum, I'm pretty sure he can make them in leather on request.

I also just purchased a X-Suit from "cosplay"..I too after i ordered it was VERY concerned that it would not fit.. It arrived Yesterday and it fits perfect. I am a bigger guy..6'2 300 lbs.. but it looks great.. All total including the claws (im going as Wolverine ) and the costume i spent just under 250 bucks. That includes shipping etc.. And tell ya what. It took 9 days from the Peoples Republic of China..to my little small town in West Virginia. There are a few things that are not 100% screen accurate...but once you pick your jaw up off the floor when you see it.. it does not matter.. Here are a few pics of me in the suit...

Cool, but how are you gonna move around with that gigantic X attached to your back?
[/b]

Very Very carefully HAHAHA...I hope these pics give you all a good idea of what it looks like.. there is 3 diff. types of material used..the pleather.. the lycra-esque type fabric for the matte parts and then the gold satin cording as the outlines. It really does look first rate..

Hello.

Hey I plan to get one of the woverine costumes from ebay.

I plan to use the Howard bust.

Could you help me to figure out the deminsions they are asking for?

I plan to use this on a mannequin for display only.

I am not sure what deminsions to give them.
They ask:

Are you looking for the mannequins size? or measurements close to Hugh Jackmans?

Sex(in centimeter)[/b]

isnt that a lil personal? ;)

Seriously though, if you are going off a jackman wolverine, I think one of the members here has a screen used costume. I can't remember the name though :(

If you are going for a generic mannequin, just measure the mannequin you have, and use the wolverine bust as the neck measurement.

ps - a 6' 3" 200lb wolverine? i think you'd make a better sabretooth.....

Hello,
I'm looking at buying this mannequin from Ebay and putting howards woverine bust on it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-Full-size-Ma...1QQcmdZViewItem

How would I covert these measurments to metric so I can order the woverine costume?

Height: 73", Chest: 39", Shoulder: 21",

Waist: 31", Hip: 39"

They ask:

Isnt Jackman like 6'5 200? Anyway... does anyone know a good source for gloves? i was looking at some motorcycle gloves but was hoping to be a little more screen accurate..
[/b][/quote]

actually he is pretty tall for a wolverine too. hes 6' 2". i wouldnt put him at 200 though. seems a little lighter looking than that. maybe 175-180. hes not tiny, but hes not really "big" either. im a horrible judge of weight or age though.

pretty good at height though :)

chris

ps - http://www.onlineconversion.com/length_common.htm <--- great metric to "normal" conversion, and back again.

He is 6'2" w/ about a 33" waist
For X-men he was only about 185ish, for X-men2 he broke the 200 lb mark with a lot of working out, and for X3 he gained over 15 lbs again to probably hit about 205-210... but I having seen anything definite on the actual weight for X3. I'm sure someone out there has dug up that info.

Hey Darth Chetta, where'd you find the claws? I have a similar set I'm still finishing up...

Do the sizes run accurate or do they tend to be slightly smaller in measurement to your dimensions? I had some assistance measuring my chest for the jacket and I didn't pull the measure tape any tighter than the actual relaxed standing position and am 37". Is that jacket going to be pretty fitted on me or should I have measured an inch smaller?
