Re: X Plane

WOW! Al that is Beautiful I will never look at foam the same, how will you do panel lines in it being that I'm guessing underneath would be soft that a scribing tool could stab into it, will it be the tape method with primer?

Re: X Plane

Ray. yes ill use the tape method. ive got very thin tape that will work on this. but actually with the tan primer i sprayed right before the grey, it makes a hard shell so i could actually still scribe them if i wanted too.

also the exhaust nozzles will be printed out. and the X on top of the cockpit will be laser cut.

Re: X Plane

Okay I was thinking that also on my Galactica build I was able to scribe some fine panel lines after a few coats of primer when you do it into the bare styrene sometimes you have burs I guess you call them that, that have to get sanded or filed out.

Re: X Plane

Wow! that is very pretty :)
Its the Blackbrid SR-71 right? I love that plane.
Looks like the single-seated version.
A kit would be very cool!

No it's the X Jet from X-Men which does look alike the Blackbird which I'm guessing they styled it after.

Re: X Plane From X Men

Started on the Engine Nacells. got one looking good. And still working on mirroring the other. hope to have this in primer by next weekend and then onto the wings and engine nozzles.

Thanks for looking.
