WoW Lich King helmet

Ok I've Looked everywhere and I've not been able to find a pep file for Arthas' Lich King helmet. I've found a "super HD" file which looks like a fricking beast and isnt unfolded.

All the other ones I seem to find a reference to has been taken down or the file is missing. Does anyone have a medium res pep file for this? Thanks.

The super HD one isnt too beast. Took me two weeks to assemble it total. Then i took a break and started working on it again. With patience you can do it! I believe in you!!!

p.s. I used super glue, card stock, and and x-acto knife to build it. good luck!!!

indeed amazing, and the imperfections actually add to this one, cause it looks like forged metal. did u use rub'n'buff?

all i used was rustoleum sandable primer and valspar metallic paint. Did the dry brushing technique and went from there

Hello,

Just one little question i got the LKhelmetHD.obj and the LKhelmetHD.pdo files and the Arthas_Helm.pdo file.

I wanted to work on the Arthas_Helm.pdo file but it ask me to enter a code. I wanted to change the size of the helm to wear it.

Could you tell me what to do ?

Thanks for your help.

I have sorted the original files I downloaded from the 405th a year ago HERE

I have also included some edits to the files to make the builds less HD and slightly easier HERE

As for the password, there shouldn't be one on the HD builds and the non HD build is too blocky and looks like garbage when made life size.

No offense, vpderitis, but I think you were misrepresenting the difficulty of the HD helmet pep file a tad. I've made one myself. It's certainly not impossible to build, of course, but it took me more like 3 weeks just to pep mine, working 2 hours each weeknight and 5-6 hours each weekend day until it was done. That's, what, 40+ hours, I think? And most of the pieces are pretty tiny. It's still pepakura, and all you gotta do is connect the edges, so it's not especially difficult, but it would still be quite a daunting and intimidating long-term beast of a project for relative newbies, and let's face it, the vast majority of other pep pieces generally only have a few dozen edges and only take a few hours perhaps to assemble.

After it was pepped, I put two coats of resin on it, and then it took me two more weeks to properly fix it up with some epoxy putty. I have also pepped and glassed all of the other armor pieces that you have (and then some, like the thigh, hand, and elbow plates), so if anyone wants to see more, I have a whole album of pictures on facebook here. Oh, and I've been meaning to thank you for making your edited versions available for download, by the way. I'm not particularly experienced with 3D editing, and it helped me along with the spaulders! So if you're interested in them, I'm willing to offer you a copy of my thigh, hand, and elbow armor PDO files. :)

Recognizer: Maybe I was a little easy going on the magnitude of the project but the helmet was my first project ever for Pepekura and just using an exacto knife and superglue I got it done pretty quick. I would say that with the amount of planning I did on the side (usually while trying to sleep) I probably invested a good 60+ hours in assembly and fiber-glassing. As for the other pieces you have on file I would love if you posted them here or even started your own thread, if you havent already, because another HD build might inspire more people to take on similar projects.

On a side note too, I'm proud and very grateful my edits to an extremely complicated design have been built by someone other than me and built very well from what I can tell on your Facebook page.
