World War - Z

Paramount has pulled the sequel from its line-up. The sequel was to be directed by Brad Pit (reprising his lead role in the sequel also). No solid casting was announced either as Pitt tried to get Fincher to direct...to no avail it seems. Compounded with his personal problems, seems that the June date was pulled by the studio.
One writer, Steven Knight, was replaced also and Dennis Kelly was hired to re-work the screenplay...stay tuned.

I understand where you come from Wes R...but since it seems that this movie made a lot of money at the B.O. the studio were eager for a sequel with pretty much the same cast.
As you said, it would be nice to respect the books; seems that it's not going to happen.

Easier to keep track of shows that do stay close to the original sources than those that do not. That being said, I won't shed a tear over this. I felt ripped off renting it from RedBox with one of their discount codes.
