Wolverine WIP

Hey guys. I promise I'll finish a costume here pretty soon!

The Predator vs Wolverine super power matchup/fan flick inspired me to whip together a Wolverine outfit.

Currently I've run into a snag. I got this sweet little mask and it fits pretty well....except for the lower jaw area. I need to modify this area for a better fit, so how do you guys suggest I do it? I've thought about cutting out the lower part of the black portion and cutting a section out of the yellow neck piece and installing a velcro strap to close up the neck. Opinions or other ideas?

I'd cut out the front neck section and chin and replace it with a yellow piece of Lycra or spandex.
