why it's a good idea to insure stuff

U.S. mail nailed it. first time I've had this happen. Packed it so tight I could barely close the box, and told them to put "fragile" all over it. Avoid hassles, and insure everything, my bad.

Replaced item but this time insured it.

I ship hundreds of reasonably fragile items every year and almost never have damage (I self-insure most things, I ran the numbers and in my case it works out in my favor). I never ever put fragile on the box. It seems like consistently the worst handled boxes I receive are ones marked fragile, and evidence from others backs that up.

All i can picture is Jim Carrey First scenes of Ace Ventura pet detective..

It sucks to get damaged items through the mail, learning lesson i guess. Seeing this will make me insure everything just in case.
