Why is the "Tour of Duty" Box Set so much

I have been wanting to get this set but can't justify paying $70+ for 3 seasons.

Does anyone know why it so expensive?

Anyone know a place to get it cheap?

Thanks

If they have not changed out music, that will pump up the price. I recall the show using period music and I believe even used the Rolling Stones. This is what plaques many tv shows from the 80's is music rights. I hear thats what held up Miami Vice for ages.

Im in Tour of Duty by the way, 6 or so episodes as "Private Seaver", a new recruit.

Yeah, Wiseguy ended up dropping Nights in White Satin from the first story arc finale, and swapping in some other generic song. The music rights could definitely do that. It's also partially why the CSI sets are often fairly pricey when they first come out.

That said, $70 for 3 seasons is actually a damn good bargain if you're talking even three 13-episode seasons. Plenty of single seasons sell for around $50 a piece.

Yeah I bought all the seasons for my dad last x-mas, the show really sucks without all the correct music, that's what made the show good. We made it 1/2 way through season one due to it. Haven't even bothered to unwrap the rest.
