Where to locate Vintage Graflex chassis?

Can someone point me in the right direction? I've got a nice vintage Graflex (and all the electronics that I need) to convert it to a working Lightsaber. I've been trying unsuccessfully to find a nice chassis for it but ever since the "V2.0 Korbanth" came out, no one has any chassis kits. Anyone know where I can source one? I've tried Yoda on FX-Saber's site as well as Ryo's shop on Shapeways. Thank you!!

As far as I know no one makes any chassis for vintage Graflex's. Your best bet is either to make one yourself or commission a saber smith to make one for you. The first option won't cost you a lot besides time, the second won't cost you any time but will likely cost you a bit of money.

For the blade holder I would recommend the custom saber shop. They have a pretty good one that fits a 1 inch blade. As for the chassis, you might want to research the inner diameter of a graflex and see if TCSS chassis will fit. Or the ones they made for the Korabanth 2.0

FX-Sabers has vintage chassis kits, but I'm not 100% sure how to go about getting one.

Thanks guys. The FX-Saber's chassis is the one that i"d like to get but the forum admin, Yoda, is either not making them any longer or MIA as I've IM'ed him many times with no response.
my bad - didn't see that you'd already attempted to find a purchasing solution at fx.

I recommend trying to find a way to design your own. Find inspiration from other things in the SW universe and from around the net and come up with something unique! It's easy to get lost in the world of saber building since there are great examples of work around here. A lot of the best ones are actually just really simple designs combined into one.

Holy cow.
edit: removed link - was for a seriously-inflated vintage graflex FX build.

Yeah that tends to happen sometimes! Although some of those are ridiculous and the seller actually uses a separate account to raise the bids on his/her own item. The things people do to get money :p

...as well as Ryo's shop on Shapeways. Thank you!!

I feel like I read in one of the threads over there that Ryo was working on one for the vintage Graflex as well since Roman and JQ Sabers are both coming out with repros of actual flashes. You might try sending him a message.

Let us know, I'll need one too once Roman's start shipping.

Darth Ryo is indeed working on a chassis for the vintage Graflex/Parks v1/Romans Empire/the new JQ Sabers all stainless version (assuming those all have the same inside dimensions). I believe he will be offering versions for both the TGS and TCSS blade holder. Might be awhile before he has them done though. He's a busy dude.

That's probably fine since it will be a while before TCSS has blade holders in stock...:p

Seriously, I don't think I've EVER seen them in stock there.
