Where No Man Has Gone Before USS Enterprise 1/1000 scale

Here is my build of the USS Enterprise from the second pilot. I like most people built this kit using glue. There was a lot of filling and sanding needed, but in the end it was well worth it. The base color is Krylon pewter grey, and the dorsal is a mixture of flat blue, flat grey and white. The bussard collectors are browner in person than they are in the photographs. I plan on making two more display stands for it, the first resembling the AMT cradle, and the second being an appropriately scaled version of the original stand used in production. Thanks to Greg Kirkman, who's meticulous research made this model as accurate as it is.

Pewter Gray is a great color for th ol' bird, eh? I used it on my AMT kit. Nicely done, trekman.

Looks great!

And I'm glad to hear that my own work was helpful for you. That was the whole idea behind my project!

Ya I like that-very nice. I built mine when they first came out-I got to do another one because the bar has been raised over the years.
