I just finished pepping the chest plate for Mark VI, ready to start the back piece now.
I see the "Brace" file which looks like it sits under both? I guess this is a 3rd piece that I wear that is mostly hidden but keep the other two in place somehow?

I want am doing these to get the sizing right, so should I do the brace first?

no just use the same scale as the chest and back and you should be fine

If you scaled the chest and back to fit your body, then use that same scale on the brace, the brace will fit as well. That's what Streetsoul was saying.

OK. I am still trying to guage that the chest "fits" I am building the back next to see. I will build the brace 3rd? or does it make sense to build before the back?

if you think the chest doesnt fit right then it proberly doesnt buddy i had alot of issues b4 i got the right scale for my mk 7 chest and it fits perfect now also if you are wanting a neck piece that fits in to the brace then jackieisrocking has an amzing file for the mk 6 neck which fits perfectly with the mk 6 helmet by sharkhead

Thanks for all of the input. I finished the chest, but I am not sure what "Fits right" means. My main concern is my abs, etc and how it will all fit together size wise. As you can see from the attached images, I THINK the chest piece is OK, but from the profile, I think my stomach is a bit too fat for me to do the abs and have it look good in contrast to the chest plate.

Thoughts?

I would start with the cod, then the abs...THEN try the brace to the same scale. If it fits, do the chest, then the back. Parts of the abs and "ribs" have to go inside the chest/back and if you don't get the codpiece big enough to fit, you'll be redoing your chest and back...Trust me, I know...it happened to me.

Awesome advice! This is what I was going to get for info. Still working on my helmet so I have not done any more on chest or rest of armor. I will do the cod next and work up

BTW: using this as incentive to lose weight! I am down 14 pound already since second week of August!
