What guage plastic were the ORIGINAL stortrooper helmets made of?

Does any one know for a fact what guage plastic (Or hdpe) was used? When they were made out of ABS was the guage the same?

I think I read that the armor was .060 but I don't remember what the helmets were. It's my recollection that they were at least that thick, maybe thinner (.040?)

If my math is right, 1.5 mm equals about .060 inches

The ABS production helmets and all the Armor were 1.5mm and made of a specific ABS mix which had a higher ratio of rubber to styrene, making them very strong (though slightly duller).

.060 HDPE.

It looks thinner in some places because HDPE stretches quite alot when vacuformed. So when propmakers make the helmets in .060 HIPS it makes it look thicker than the originals.
