What BSG props do members want to see done?

OK, so we are working on the following props...

Auto injector (Anti-radiation and Morpha) I am getting quotes this week.
...
Wall intercom mgoob is working on it
Full size Flags of the colonies My wife is actually looking into this, say she should be able to make sewn flags for UNDER $100!
Jump Key I am heard that Relicmaker is going to do these after his current project.
...

Very excited for these! I've seen 'sewn' Flags before though. There's a member of TCF that sews them, and they're really nice. I'd like to see some made like they are in the show though - screen printed. One of my brother's friends works in a print shop...I'll ask him for some info.

You need to talk to kevinericon, he sells flags.

Someone please ID the box in this picture so we can order them ;)

I can't say I can identify it. But i know that the case for the anti-radiation meds were in a metal case that came with a pair of goggles.

That was the Anti Rad case from the mini series, and I am thinking of doing those injectors too. I need this case for the ones used in the series.

The guy who made my flag is capable of screening them but I just went with sewn due to the setup cost for screened. As with most printed material, the first item cost a fortune but its downhill from there. If there are enough people interested, we may be able to get screened flags made at a decent price. Whats decent? 100, $150?

Any interest here?

I'm pretty sure the case for the anti-radiation meds was used throughout the series too. The case had ridges on it, which are present every time we've seen anti-rad meds.

As used in the Mini Series.....

Antiradmeds.jpg

That's not from the mini-series. That shot is from Season 1, Episode 1, titled "33". It takes place in the scene after Helo had destroyed the two Centurions chasing him. He injects himself with the anti-radiation meds, before spotting the Six in the White Coat. You never see any anti-radiation meds used or a case for it in the mini-series. This case continues to show up in later scenes in Season 1.

That case in the second picture you've linked only shows up in Season 1's "Kobol Last Gleaming, Part 2", used by Starbuck, and is only seen one time.

Yes, you are correct. Good catch. So they used both, my mistake.

Unfortunately, I am not willing to pay $25 plus shipping for a small metal box that is only worth $8. So I will continue to look for a source for the other box for my run.

And the question still stands. Does anyone know where I can find the smooth topped cases shown in the pics above?

thomas;)

Sorry, I didn't mean to drop my BSG knowledge on you like that.

As for where the case could be found, I honestly can't say I know. I guess the best place to start would be to look for either pencil tin boxes (pencil cases) or try looking into scrapbooking supply stores (they normally have tin containers, but may not be similar to the pencil cases).

Could the box for the morpha / Anti-Rad, be some type of ...

Watch case
Knife Case
Paint Brush Case
???

I'm just throwing out Ideas on what it might be.

The Viper helmets have been done ;) You just have to pay an arm and a leg for them. Kind of like when the Vader helmets first came out. They were $1k plus, now they are $200. Perhaps with time the price on them will come down, but don't count on it. ANOVOS has the license now, perhaps they will make a reasonable priced replica.

thomas;)

I picked up a helmet from TimeSlip Creations at nearly $700 shipped. I certainly wasn't happy about the price but I think PhoenixVader is correct about prices not dropping. There just isn't a demand like there was/is for Star Wars helmets.

I would like to see a Viper Helmet.

I'm currently working on a more screen accuate season 1-2.5 Viper/Raptor helmet than my previous one. My first one was a little too big.

The new one most certainly won't be $700, it will be closer to $600 which will include shipping. I'll keep you all updated. I could probably start production in the end of February.

Wow - I just checked out your last helmets Jtothe - very nice. On top of a great looking helmet, the upgraded padding and accessories raise the bar.

And for those that missed this thread: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=47784&page=2
