For those of you who weren't in the "What should WETA put out next?" poll thread, bit of backstory. the Lord of the Rings movies are to me what Star Wars is to a lot of other prop guys. So when I saw that thread, I figured I'd at least vote cuz District 9 was ridiculously cool. Did that, forgot about it. Like 3 weeks later I get a PM from RPF staff (my first instinct: "ruh roh raggy, what did i do?") saying I was picked randomly from all the people who voted in that thread to receive a gift bag from WETA. I see this at work. Immediate smoke break. Buggin Out! Anyway, I'll cut to the chase, after 2 weeks I finally have pics! Well... one pic b/c I now realize all the other ones I took other than the overall shot were...well...Really bad. Anyway, behold..... Thanks A TON Weta for all the inspiration And the cool stuff!!! I really do not know why I didn't get into this whole thing sooner...
EDIT: Oh good, that worked. Anyway, I forgot to list what was in the bag! MENSA candidate material here, folks! We have three District 9 Post cards, two D9 patches, the postcard that came inside the Dr. Grordbort book, and the Dr. Grordbort book itself! I'm still making my way through it (Awesome so far, though!) and am hunting for a shirt to put the black D9 patch on. Once again, Thanks Weta and the RPF!!!!!!
