The final faceplates have arrived and once I have aged them a handful (for now) will go on sale for $99 each. The second pic shows a rough first aging. It will start to look a little more even/natural once I exposed it to the elements for a few days.

Yes for #1 and #2 - not doing working versions for now, as Raspberry Pi prices are much too high. Once I am ready to do some (after finishing my own one) the price might be between $499 and $599 depending on "screen" (high quality lens or "cheap" watch glass).

Just a heads up for those who purchased. I aged the faceplates and will send next Monday.

Top third one is gone, that one looks a little smoother as it was aged two days earlier. Anyway I will make better pics Friday and contact every buyer to choose one.

The first (serious) prototype faceplate is here. Water cut and engraved using CNC milling.

The scale is recessed 0.5mm as well as numbers, radiowaves and lettering. Will change to 0.8mm recessed and go for maybe 0.3mm for lettering and numbers, so they look a little finer/smaller. Radiowaves are just perfect as is.

If you're able to extend out the run to more than just 3 or 4, I'd very interested in one as well (UK based here).

I've spent the last couple of weeks researching and planning to make my own, but attempting old school acid etching instead.
It would be interesting to compare how your cnc milling looks to acid etching.

Acid etching does work, but without earlier experience it will take some trial & error. Having the cutouts done with water cutting is definitely best basis.

YOU ARE THE MAN! I am glad that there is still so much interest in Warehouse 13. I never got to finished my Farnsworth. I really appreciate you making it happen. Anything you need from me please let me know. I'm still in for 2 if that's ok?
