I was doing some surfing last night and came across this Fortune Magazine Gordon Gekko cover used in the movie Wall Street.

This movie could be a gold mine of paper props
- Gordon Gekko personal and company business cards, stationary
- Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) business card
- Magazine covers for both of them
- Newspaper articles
- Blue Star Aviation (where Bud's father works) articles, stationary, etc

I also discovered that there is a sequel coming out this year Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, starring everybody's favorite rising star :)rolleyes) Shia Labouf.

In 2005, Fortune put Gekko/Douglas on the cover again.

Now, Gekko/Douglas is back on the April 2010 issue of Vanity Fair

Wall Street Gordon Gekko Forbes

Does anyone have any info on where to find, or how to acquire a Forbes magazine from Wall Street with Gordon Gekko on the cover? Thanks!

I took the liberty of taking this cover and cleaning it up via Photoshop (slightly rotated it to give a level top edge, removed the tape residue, pinholes, some scuffing, corrected the color, etc) Let me know what you think!

Unfortunately the scan in the first post appears slightly different from the screen-used version (notice the 3 lines of text under 'Gekko The Great' in this screen capture.) Oh well, the version here is pretty close to the real thing. Perhaps it was an alternate cover. I would like to see "Money Never Sleeps" again to see which version of the cover is hanging on Gekko's wall in that film.

After watching the movie today and grabbing this screen:

I decided to make this:

What do you think?

The font's definitely serifed, but just by comparing the B and U in "BUD", the letters on the screen-used card are wider. The O in "Fox" is another good letter to work from, as on the card it's nearly completely spherical, rather than an oval.

Hi Kingpin,

I really like your eye for details, the font is definitely not Times New Roman.
