Which version of Vader are to doing? It looks like ESB or ROTJ. And to what level of accuracy? The first piece of advice is the red and blue squares on the OT Vader's chest box do not light up.

But, if a high level of accuracy is what you are looking for, be prepared for a lot of input.

What the average person perceives the costume to look like and what a highly accurate costume looks like is night and day when the details are considered.

Posting a few more pics that give a better look at your costume will assist with input.

You are off to a very nice start.

many many thanks for the input......its a ESB (hopefully) although Darth Stone is beginning work on a new lid for me to troop in, with regards to the chest box what did OT stand for? apologies for the ignorance but i am pretty new to all this ?

once again thanks for the reply

OT means 'Original Trilogy'
You're off to a great start but as Gary said get ready for a long rocky road to accuracy....:lol
I've just purchased some molds for another project and as a bonus I have a set of Vader Stunt shin moulds thrown in. So I could get some made up when they arrive. I have no idea of lineage or accuracy or anything else about them yet but as soon as they arrive I'll post some pics and I'm sure someone here will tell me what they are.

cheers sskunky

iv got an application in with both the 501 and 99th, although the 501 seem a lot more willing to offer advice when needed, but maybe thats just me reading between the line?

look forward to seeing the pics mate of the shins.....the general reaction when i wear the suit is 'wow' but i still want to make it as accurate as possible, why do anything half hearted is my motto

i have the height as im 6ft 5 and a bit and my body is pretty much prowse size, apart from the hips....im a little slimmer.

all advice is appreciated as is constuctive critics.....i also realise i have started a hell of a project ....much to the other halfs disdain lol

Your 6'5", color me jealous.:lol I wish. You definitely the perfect height.
I am 6'0" and wear 4 inches of internal lifts in the boots to pull off the costume.
From the 2 pics you have posted it looks like you still have the Rubies supreme belt. The pic it was upside down.:)
But it is right in the second pic.

Vader's costume changes in each movie and there are even changes to it from scene to scene in ESB.

The costume has more wear on it than most people realize.

Even the average 501st member does not know the subtle differences in the costume, unless they are a very hardcore Vader fan.

Most Vader experts on the RPF will tell you Vader's chest box was "Wonky" and the buckle and belt boxes have scratches and wear. And it can get very "exciting" discussing the details of Vader's costume.

Ultimately, it is up to you to decide when you are satisfied and happy with your costume.

If you do a search on here, you will find many threads discussing the details of the costume.

More pics will definitely, get you more feedback.

I have 2 ESB Vaders, one I consider my "Trooping" version not highly accurate or my best pieces, but to the general public I look like I just stepped off the screen. And I won't kill anyone if they hit the helmet as they put their arm around my shoulder or press the buttons on my chest box or belt as they all love to do.

My "As close as screen accurate costume" does not get worn, it took 3 years to track down and aquire the the parts. And I am still tweaking it.

I wish there were more accurate Vaders at the conventions. :(

As for advice, the cape jumps out at me as looking like it could really use an upgrade. Is that a leather ring at the top or is that the way it was sewn together? Either way thats not screen accurate.

Would like to see more photos before getting to picky.
