Vader chest box light controller

Does anyone know where I can find a Vader chest box light controller that would fit a box that is larger that a GT clone? I have a Porty one that is great in my GT, but is far to small for a full sized box. Or is there anything out there that will adapt to any size box at all.

I would prefer somthing with Luxeon LED's and has a correct ESB/ROTJ blinking pattern.

There was someone on the bay selling them for $20. I just searched and there aren't any listed at the moment.

If anyone knows who the seller is/was please post it or PM me.

i think i might still have his email. i got one for my rubies box, in rots mode.

i hooked it up, and it works great, seperate red rocker light, blink lights, and 2 constants for the red/green squares.

he makes all versions on the kits too.

I too have seen the one on the bay. I didn't care for it as it uses standard VS Luxeon LED's.

I just may end up getting a bread board, some resitors and a IC and buid my own:unsure

Buy a PIC chip and programmer...about $50 total off of ebay. Download a "Sequencer" program off the 'net...solder in some LEDs and you're done!

I have just looked into this Kev. It all seems like a lot of hassel for a guy that allready has 18 other pieces besides the chest box to make for this one project. Thanks for posting though:)

This is a good point, and it has come up in a few PM's. They need to be rather bright as I plan to mostly use this in outdoor events.

DS, if you need a chestbox light kit I do make one. Check it out here:

I need to get some pics of it, but it will certainly fit in any chest box. Runs off a 9V too.

Edit: Here is a quick pick of the board. The LEDs are very bright BTW.

Sounds good Jim, and I wouldn't mind supporting a fellow MG member either:)
I will send you a PM here on the RPF when I'm ready to pick one of these up.

jwill1979@cox.net is the ebay sellers email addy. he was the one doing all versions, i got the rots one, and it works great, and the leds are bright as heck too. he told me he used high output leds.

20 bucks is what i paid him for mine. has wire leads out to the leds so you can place them however and wherever you want inside the box.

69 is a lil high when you can get a kit that does the same thing for 20 bucks. and the guy even has a lifetime replacement on the leds.
